Nestled in the idyllic countryside of  central Fife on the Balbirnie Estate, Kirforthar Farm is the home of the family run business Aird Show Horses. With a calm, friendly and efficient atmosphere surrounding the yard, there is an overall sense of ‘getting the job done’. The Airds pride themselves on a high quality service that treats every horse as an individual with particular needs. Be the job breaking, schooling or producing for the show ring, they believe that keeping the numbers down to a select few, enables them to give their full attention to each horse at any one time. That together with no short cuts in each individual’s planned routine, leads to a well balanced youngster who is able to go forward in their chosen career with a better chance for the future.

Their success may lie in the fact that the whole family take part in the running of the yard. With no outside employees the horses quickly become comfortable and familiar with their surroundings, making settling down to work all that easier.
